The logo can be based on anything like:

a. symbol based icons b. text based c. abstract icons d. mix of any two

This need to be colorful and should project the above said mixing of
corporate and professional look though very lively and funky flavor with a
technical touch .

actually we are more keen to get a symbol with the text by which we can represent the company in whole. Like Nike's logo or HostGator crocodile logo. We are thinking about catching, it will be something like : "Synchronizing your Ideas" . Also Rsync word having a meaning,

ZeniusIVanisher - saw your concept, colors are nice, but need some unique symbol which will express rSync , "Synchronizing Business" .

Same goes with Teddy7. Liked text of lauralu8900's 4th one, but need some symbol in it.

Xcore, idea is good, but on a webpage, and small header logo size, logo will look messy as it is too much big.

well, as we are looking for a logo , representing an identity for a technology company , ( as described at first post ) , none of the submission are really commensurate and not even closing to what we are looking for and also in perspective of a corporate logo which can create an impression.

so in this current scenario, we are not able to accpet any of those and we realy thank all who submitted logos and we do respect their spirit and creativity but it really not suing our needs.

If someone having something in mind, an image, or a symbol or a text based one, by which it will create a impression of "rSync" in mind please submit.

Well.. thats not what rules say.. It's not cool when i loose time doing a logo for a contest, and after all, the contest holder don't pick a winner.

I never told I don't want to pick a winner from the list. But atleast I can expect perfectly what I want, else why should I pay for something which I really don't want.
