Hi everybody! I've been impressed with some of the other contest winners, so I've chosen to have my contest here on np.

Let me tell you a little bit about my website:

BeMoreBold is a supplement for men, specifically designed for those who are actively dating. 'Picking-up' women can be nerve wrecking, and because of this many men shy away from the women that they think are attractive. BeMoreBold is a supplement to calm you down without causing drowsiness. It also has natural ingredients to reduce peak stress levels, increase libido, and increase happiness.



Type of Contest : Logo and Banner Design
Prize : $100 paid through paypal
Contest End Date & Time : 10:00 PM EST - March 17, 2011 (winner may be selected sooner)
Size Requirements : for logo-none. For banner-please see current banner for size. We would like the new banner to be a little taller than the current one.
Color Requirements : Please use the current website color scheme, or use different colors if you think those are better. Eighter way the final color scheme of the website will probably reflect the colors of the logo. Since the product is just for men, the logo has to have a masculine or neutral feel to it. I'm not a designer, but I would imagine 'masculine' colors to be black, silver, ect... Feel free to be creative with this. Maybe a look that reflects the natural ingredients?...
General Requirements : Legible. The ".com" is not required within the design, but the name "BeMoreBold" or "Be More Bold" must be in it.
Optional : I think that it would be very nice to have an image or silhouette of a guy/lady/both.
Additional Information : You can get a feel for the product on the website : bemorebold.com. The logo and banner should complement each other, but not be a copy of each other.

All - Thank you guys for all of the entries!

We thought about this for a while, and really want to go with this particular lion (see attached file).

This picture is purchased for commercial use and can be doctored legally.

We have made the decision that we want the attached image in the final logo.

Please revise your entry design(s) to incorporate the attached picture.

Notes about the picture:
We will be grading based on how the picture and "BeMoreBold" look (layouts, color schemes, etc.)
Feel free to resize, change the color, invert (The lion can face left or right), or change it as you wish so it looks good in the logo. The lion can be red, blue, black, or any other color that would look good with the site.
The lion can have a different gradient, can be glossy, can be used in the background of the logo, etc.

The only requirement is that the basic shape of the lion is in the logo.

We are scheduled to pick the winner in about 24 hours, so we are almost done! Also, as part of the package, please create a suitable banner, including aspects of the logo.

Note: We will be choosing the winner mostly based on the logo.

Thank you for all the entries guys! All of the logos with the lion look good, so it's going to be tough to choose the winner.

All: The words "BEMOREBOLD" do not have to be in a horizontal row. They can also be one under the other. For example:

BE
MORE
BOLD

Whether they are left justified, centered, or right justified is up to you. I'm mentioning this because some of the designs might be too wide to fit in certain places (such as on a bottle). The logo should be fairly compact, in my opinion.
Having the words in a horizontal row in the banner makes sense.

nguyen (post #24): I like the top logo better. I like the font and the image being on the left, but the words and the picture look like they are two separate elements placed next to each other. It's a little plain and would look better with some visual effects. It's also a little too wide and should be more compact in my opinion.

Dlight (post #25): I like the top left logo the best, and the idea of the lion inside the circle. The lion needs to be larger in respect to the words, because it is difficult to see the lion. Also, the head of the lion should be more centered in the circle.
I don't like the rotated lion in the other logos because it looks like a snake and not a lion.
Regarding your banners, I think that they are terrific. I like the middle one on the right side the best. The large lion in the background (every banner except for the bottom left) looks great and can stay rotated as it is. I like the lighter banner better than the darker one. The shades of light blue in the background should be blended together more smoothly so the lines between the different shades are not visible.

fiona (post #26): I like your banner. I like the outline of the words. I like the background color, and the large lion. I also like how it looks with the word "Bold" in the lion's mouth.
The lion on the left looks nice because it is not one solid color. I like the fact that it has a gradient that changes. (I'm not sure if gradient is correct word)

I don't like the font that you used, I think that it is too blocky. In my opinion, the color purple of the lion on the left does not match the color scheme of the site. The color should complement or stand out from the other colors. In my opinion, black, red, blue, chrome/silver, graphite/carbon fiber would work. Maybe white with an outline??

Do you have a revised logo with the lion? The logo is more important than the banner to us. In my opinion if your logo was similar to your banner, and the lion was to the left of the words, the logo would be too horizontal, and not vertical enough. It is good for your banner, but would be too wide for a logo.

Soheil (post#27): I think the large B's are not necessary because we are not trying to emphasize the word "Be". I also think that the second lion takes away from the strength from the first lion and is not necessary.

I like the layout of the logo because it has a good balance between height and width. I think the blue "MORE" is fantastic because if you just read the darker black words it reads "BE BOLD". The font is good too.

Nguyen (post #28): First logo - I don't like the different color eye because it looks evil to me. I am also not fond of the lighting effect. Maybe a different type of effect would look good.
First Banner - I like the lion in the background but the banner looks too cluttered on the left side and too empty on the right side. The blue eye of the lion in the background looks interesting.
Second logo - I like the shading that you did in the blue and the fact the the black is a dark black. Can you use a similar font but san serif? (without those tails on the letters)
Second Banner - I like this banner and the layout of the lions. The words are a little too far to the left and I think that there is too much white. Maybe a light shade in the background would help?

Will (post#29)- I don't like the color red in the word "Be", I think that it draws away from the seriousness of the product and looks a little cartooney. The blue "Bold" looks good.
Because the bottom part of the picture is missing, I think that the picture looses its flowing mane identity. (I like the mane).
I like the height versus width ratio and the font.

The .com has to be on a separate layer or erasable.

EZlock (post#30)- I think your logo is beautiful. The lion in the circle is very nice and the mane gets cut off at a good spot. The font is good too.

Can you make the "BE" and "BOLD" the silver/gray color, and the "MORE" blue?

I like the fact that it is a light blue, but can you try a different shade of blue? We want to have the dominant colors of the website dark blue over white, and I don't think the current light blue in your logo would go well with the current website color scheme.
We will also need a banner.

I don't like the dotted borders of the letters.

I don't like the 2nd lion and the B's at the top. I think the B's are confusing. Maybe something else can go there to 'fill out' the logo?

We have about 12 hours left before the end of the contest. I'm not with my business partner right now, so I'm just going to leave some general feedback for the new entries. I will try to leave some more feedback about an hour or two before end time tomorrow, in case anyone wants to make any last minute changes.

Abdel - Thank you for your entry. I like the layout of the top design. It's a little bit too plain though.

I actually like the 'bolder' font that you used on the second entry, except that we would prefer if it was san serif (without the tails on the letters). I'm not a fan of the lions biting the words.

Steve - I like the logos.

Soheil - I like the banners, they are interesting. I wonder if they will leave too much white room on the sides?

Nguyen - The logos might be too wide and not have enough height. I like the banners.

EZlock - I like the new blue color you used in the logo, it matches the colors of the website well. Can you try switching the colors of "BE" + "BOLD" with "MORE"? We think that it might look better with a silver "BE", blue "MORE", and a silver "BOLD". I like the banner.

Zynge - Thank you for your entry. You have an interesting concept of having the words get darker.
We prefer to have the lion straight as opposed to rotated. Nice banners.
