Financials: $30 for the winner but will pay $70 if we officially chose/use your logo. We might also give a discretionary bonus and give smaller prizes for other decent entries by members.

Deadline: Need your logo by Thursday 12th Feb, will select a winner BY Tuesday 24th February once team has had enough time to decide. Logos submitted after 12th Feb might not be accepted. Will try and give constant feedback until then.

Who we are: KCLBC - King's College London Business Club - The largest society at King’s College London University, organising events for students interested in business (both in careers and entrepreneurship,). We also plan to set up a magazine, investment fund and organise parties in the future.

Where the logo will be used: Business cards, Website, Banners, Posters, Presentation Slides, Prospectus, Merchandise (pens, t-shirts etc)

Primary Colours: Red with black, Red with White – we are also open to other colour themes.

What we’re looking for: The logo has to be smart but also appealing to students, we’re trying to capture business themes such as strategy, creativity, entrepreneurship, success, wealth, innovation, leadership etc

Size: Not too fussy about size but should be in a format where we can enlarge it without reducing quality (to be used on large banners etc)

Your sample logo should say some/one/all of the following:

King’s College London Business Club

Inspiration:

Here are some sample logos that our team has designed to give some idea of inspiration but we're not happy with them as want better logos!

Please do some research on the University if it helps you gain more inspiration. KCL is the 5th best University in Europe and top 25 in the world.

Hey there, can only provide brief comments as still waiting feedback from the rest of my team.

Creativity points for sure, good work and effort but not what I'm after - Logo style/font is too cartoonish, and graduation hat symbolises academics more so than business although it does look good still. Not a fan of the vertical text - imagine how this logo would look on a presentation next to the logo of a company like McKinsey & Company.

We have decided not to use any of these logos for our brand image as we were expecting a higher quantity and quality of logos, given the potential prize of $70.

Our team has decided that the winner on this occasion is 'logotip' given the variety of designs proposed. Please send your details to me via PM so I can send a $30 payment.

I personally love the style of Marcello's logos but they don't represent any of the themes we're trying to convey. Furthermore, the official KCL logo/font is used which is something the team is a bit uneasy about. Send me a PM of what your usual rates are for designs as I'm still impressed by your style, having looked at mockups you have submitted in other threads.

As for sf2010 - I like that you caught on with the "lion" theme, we were thinking of that at the beginning stages of our brainstorming session. In terms of feedback: It would have been more useful to see a larger image of the shield, with a red/black theme and other mockups. However, we also feel that the shield is a bit too cliche for a society and doesn't really represent what we're all about. It's more academic than business, yah know?
