Contest End Date & Time: Dec. 14th, 2012 at 8pm PST.

Color Requirements: Open to colors. Logo selected will be used as the theme for the new website. So please be creative.

General Requirements: This logo will be used for a new company offering Photography services. We specialized in Portrait (In-Studio and Outside), Engagements, Wedding, Glamour and Commercial/Corporate Event Photography. Logo must be professional looking but "catchy", however, not feminine (no floral type or feminine type logos). Logo must also match the name of the company and the industry it represents (photography). Must be scaleable (Can be used on business cards, catalogs, website, promo materials (hats/shirts), and most importantly logo will need to be used as a watermark on the pictures we create. We normally would like to position the logo at one of the corners of all of our photos) so please keep this in mind when creating your designs.

Company name is StylishStills (one word) and the name needs to be incorporated into the design.

Additional Information: All elements must be the designers own work, no clipart or stock images. We reserve the right to end early if a design really impresses us.

Additional Info: Would like to see 2 versions of the logo. One with just the name "StylishStills" and another with full company name "StylishStills Media". If both versions of the logo are chosen from the same designer we will add an additional $10 to the original $40 prize ($50 total).

Logo must be Professional and Stylish looking and "catchy" (something that has high impact).


Amin - Thank you so much for the submission. However not quite our taste. Colors too bright and there is really nothing stylish about the font. Seems too plain. Can you try again? Also, any others?

Think along the lines of more stylish/vogue and more creative.. I have some sample logos from other businesses that we like but not quite sure how to load it here..

Namanda - thank you so much for your submission. we kinda like it but not blown away by it. for the logo in Red can you perhaps use the black, white and Aqua Blue colors found in one of the sample logos we attached above labeled "Verna Starling Photography"? Let us know if that is possible. Also any other concepts you may have?

For the logo in blue we kinda like the font but not sold on it but i like where you're going with it. However, not sure if you can do anything with the "S" symbol on the side to make it work for photography. may be a lens barrel inside the S? Again we kinda like where you are going with it..

Also any other concepts/submissions we can consider?

I've also uploaded some additional logos we like. Is there perhaps a way to incorporate your own rendition of the BarnDoor Lights to the logo? (see attached images for sample of BarnDoor lights). Not sure if this can aid in making the logo stylish or if it makes it too ugly/tacky looking..

blairwitchii and softcreation... thank you so much for your submissions. both of your designs looks too "techie" for us. It must be the fonts you are using but it just does not have the kind of impact we want our logo to "look". It has to have some Stylish or creative element that represents our branding.. perhaps the use of different fonts? The logo and font needs to be more elegant looking. Can you both try again? Some insight.. 75% of our clients are women interested in Glamour, Engagement, Wedding photography the rest are Corporate type of events so it needs to be elegant and "eye-catching".. Thank you again..

namanda.. thank you so much for re-trying.. you're getting close. however my partner feels its missing some "elegance". My partner really likes the "elegance" of the Varna Starlng logo sample in the first group of attachment. Can you perhaps offer up something to that effect? the use of more stylish fonts and some "tattoo like scribbles"..
