Format: Vector - Needs to retain quality at any size. It will originally be used for a website.

General Requirements: We are looking for a logo for a commercial office space start-up software company. The name NickelBump refers to an annual increase in rent of a Nickel per square foot. Based on the name, we would like to see a coin icon included in the logo which could be used on its own to be an app icon or to mark a location on a map.

Here are few possible themes:
Office Space, Thomas Jefferson, Monticello, Nickel Coin

Color Requirements: Open to Suggestions...

The winner will be considered for hire for the design of the website.

An Additional Thought on Direction...

An extra thought on direction...

We would like it to be somewhat whimsical as it will be aimed at consumers. We are trying to bridge the gap between modern/millennial user and a traditionally old school industry.

Thanks all for the efforts thus far. However based on the submitted logos I am worried that we didn't give the proper direction initially. What we envisioned was cartoon style logo incorporating a prominent/iconic nickel. Something fun and fresh with a bright color scheme and a "tech" feel (think twitter bird or zynga dog). 2-3 colors max. Examples of this might be a funny cartoon of Thomas Jefferson or some sort of high rise colonial Monticello-looking office building on the coin. Thanks and keep em coming!

jtoms - We like the font part of the logo, but would like the coin to be more unique and fun. We need it to be able to stand on its own as well.

coolwanz - We like how the coin is built into the map icon, but again would like it to stand out more on its own and be more exciting.

Sobi - We like the concept of how you have the logo laid out, but would like a different font. We like how the font is fun, but would like to see a slightly different option. We also like how the name is on the coin, but don't necessarily like that monument on the coin. It could also be possible to only use the coin and have the whole logo laid within the framework of the coin.

Gtraffic - This is definitely more inline with what we are looking for versus your first response, however, the coin feels a bit too generic. Can you play with some other possibilities?
