Hey I can't code these banners, so if I submit an entry would you still consider buying it, even though you'd have to get someone else to code it? You could drop your prize some if you wanted...

Just thought I'd check before I go and spend time designing for nothing!

I don't understand what this contest is about.

Do you want an animated banner for advertisement that will be shown in other websites? Where is this banner going to be used, on your website or somewhere else? Do you want the existing header to be redesigner? Advertisement banners are 478x60px. This makes me think that you actually don't want a banner but you want your existing header to be redesigned. But honestly I don't understand what you want. The opening message is confusing.

I 2nd marcello, unless you provide us with a jpg or png of the logo ONLY, there's not much we can do to revise your header, design a banner, or whatever you want...

It is to go on another website.
But it is to be consistent with the design (colours, font, imagery etc) of the existing artwork as long as the design suggests some independent thought.
We can send you copies of the artwork we have by email.


The banner size quoted is large but the largest size we have been advised we can put on a specific website we wish to advertise on. We will also be looking for 478 x 60 banners (non-flash) for other sites.

It does not need to be coded.

If you like you can enter with a banner that is a more standard size.

Evtmii, thanks for your entry. You have the right idea, please just ensure you use the font type used in the existing website design and the slogan will need a bit of work but like what you have done with the cat and dog. Good use of existing imagery.

If you have the photoshop (psd) or illustrator (ai) file of your existing header can you please upload it somewhere. Otherwise everything has to be recreated which would take hours. The person who designed your header definitely has a layered psd or ai file. From the drop shadows it is very clear that he also has pictures of the spray and bottle with a clear background. Those can't be recreated very easily. Without that file things are very difficult. The flash banner itself is no big deal. Many of us here can do flash animation.

By the way, you definitely don't want an advertisement banner with a 800x300 px size. The standard sizes are 468x60 or 728x90px.

If I were you I would find that file (contact the previous designer if necessary) upload it somewhere and then extend the contest even more.

Everything could be changed - if you could send me the logo in vector format, I will replace the text with it. Otherwise, I could use similar font to the original.

Just to note if you have less than 4 entries by 4 different people you may extend the contest an additional 48 hours and end time will be counted from your new end time. I'm also happy to go along with it the change of end time given the confusion
