Report Received Offers Here

In a thread about the new Sedo-GoDaddy listing agreement, one or two posters spoke of being "flooded" with lowball offers since the change. I think these guys must have really awesome names to be "flooded" with unsolicited offers at a given time. It would be interesting to see what these magical names are (I consider myself to own good ones, and yet have only received one offer for my 75-odd domains in close to a year of domaining. Thankfully, that turned into a big sale).

We all benefit from examing sales charts and noting the trends. Extending our observations to received offers would further our education all the more.

So, feel free: post received offers, with or without dollar figures. If there is strong participation and people find the thread useful, maybe it can one day be made a sticky.

Can we report direct whois offers as well? I got an offer 2 days ago for nkag.com for $20. I just ignored it.

Absolutely, this thread is for all received offers. Thanks for that contribution.

I suppose that's better than getting no offers though.

Hmm should I switch back to sedo now? I moved to bodis few months ago but only got a couple offers through them.

I don't even use SEDO for parking.

These are basically all offers via GoDaddy listings.

Excellent topic, congrats. This could become a really interesting thread. One question: would one report offers with, or without, mentioning the domain/s in question?

I believe it might be more informative a thread, should some indication regarding the names is given, where possible.

When an end user is given the option to offer a minimum $60, then 99% of the time, that's what they'll do. They may not know how much what your expectactions are or how much you are getting nicked on the commission.

To avoid having to contend with these, then it might be a good idea to go into Sedo and fill in the minimum offer field for all your domains.

A better option would be for there to be an opt out. I never agreed to have all my domains dumped onto GoDaddy with a $60 minimum offer.

SEDO just decided to do that.

They have essentially forced themselves as a middle man in the process, using arbitrage above GD's standard rates.

They are charging 20% in the process for doing very little to nothing.

I'm impresed that you receive so many offers. How many domains do you have in your portfolio? Are most of the domains that you field inquiries about quite old or expensive acquisitions?
