I never post sales, but am doing this one due to the speed Afternic processed it.

L.E.I.L.o.o.k.u.p.com $688
Afternic, bin, inbound
Hand reg of expire, hold 7 months.

Check this out:

Sold 1:50am Wednesday , was told wait 8-10 days for more info.
Got transfer complete at 5pm Wednesday. Was told payment 1-3 days
Got paid 12pm Thursday

Less than 36 hours from sale to paypal deposit
This is light speed for afternic, my average with them is 11 days. Now compare them with DAN, with 17 hours average and some payments as fast as 1.5 hours.

Amazing & Gongrats for the sales !

I am curious to hear opinion of successful and experienced domainer @AbdulBasit.com

.

Her sales are fantastic and I'm always amazed to see them happening every now and then. Hard work and dedication is paying off very well and there are things to learn from those sales.

it's more than now and then. its consistent 5fig sales. that none of us ever got even close to on similar xyz words many many of us owned over years...including me.. only in insanely smaller total folio numbers.

which of course just makes all these sales more amazing.

99% people here do not even come close to these results with quality older com names.

Demeter.xyz sold for 3995 usd @GoDaddy

I am a domain invester like you all. I dont need to bluff anyone here. If you think you have a good keyword and someone is not buying for 5 figs, You should consider wait for a right buyer. We cant compare one's sales with other. Lets concentrate on domains and sales and stop wasting time here.

An interesting one.

Potsdefleurs.com

Hand registered on 2021-03-01
Just sold for $4,100 via Afternic (BIN $5,000)

This is an interesting hand reg experiment I started early this year.
I registered this domain name even without knowing its meaning.
I hand registered around 100 domain names based on some pre-set criteria. Received couple of $xxx offers and I set BIN $5,000 on all of them.

Thanks to DotDB.com which is a very useful tool to help me make decision automatically. It's worth every penny of it.

SOLD

Domain: Meta/FB. com
Sale venue: Sedo
Listing type: Buy-It-Now
BIN Price: $30,000
Price after Fee: $27,000
Purchased Price: $8.47
Date Purchased: 7/30/2021
Sale Completed: 9/17/2021
Details: Hold time, a month and a half. I hand regged like 10 Meta+LL.com domains because I have a good history of selling these types of names in the past and well, short domains sells. Also, for those following the Metaverse names, I noticed there was a buy out happening for LL+Verse.com domains (all gone now) and when I checked Meta+LL.com I saw a buy out happening there too so I acquired a few. The name was parked with DAN and the very day I switched it back to Sedo, someone acquired it overnight. So some luck in that department. It was a nice sale to wake up to. The only information I have on the possible buyer is that they had to pay VAT from France from what I saw in the transfer document.

Good luck guys. Exciting time for those invested in the Metaverse niche as well as XR, VR, AR, Avatar, and Spatial!

Amazing sale, Congrats @BostonDomainer !

How do you notice a 'buy out' event happening for certain domains? If you can elaborate on that.
How did you set such a great price on this domain?

Also how many 'meta' and 'verse' domains you hold and how many of these you sold yet.

Thanks.
ps - i understand asking many questions here. Please feel free to answer as many as you like or none.
Best wishes.

w/i/z/a/r/y .com

Venue: BB
Cost: GD Closeout
Hold Time: ~90 day
Sales Price: $2695

My first 4 figure .com as well as brandable sale. I tried BB when I first started domaining around a year ago, had a few names there and let them expire. I started listening to @Keith DeBoer podcast three months or so ago and decided to give brandables another chance. I submitted 40 names to BB and 7 got accepted (6 now as this one sold), I have another 40 pending review at the moment, this name was rejected by SH and the name sold within a week of being published at BB. I know not all sales are this fast, but putting in the work and listening to as many podcasts/reviewing sales is definitely making me a better domain investor. I do have SH portfolio, but a lot of the names were from other users liquidating them, maybe it was for a reason lol, but nonetheless cleaning up garbage and seeking higher quality will pay off in the long term. If domaining was easy, everyone would do it, don't give up, put in the work, and the sales will come.

Afternic BIN, hold time 10 months, drop reg.

I have a bunch of UV domains, bought in the hopes that the pandemic would boost this niche. Instead it didn't really.

So I've decided to discount them as to recover money spent before renewal that was kinda approaching. This one pays for the lot and brings some profit as well.

s/u/p/e/r/k/o/i/n .com

Venue: Afternic Fast Transfer
Cost: GD Closeout
Hold Time: ~90 days
Sales Price: $599

Had it priced at $999 and dropped it to $599 and name sold within a few days (was really only fast transfer eligible for a month and it sold). I could have been more patient, but I will take the cashflow and reinvest into other two word .coms. Again, listening to @Keith DeBoer the prefix super is very popular and koin although spelled with k not a c is an acceptable swapping of consonants in my opinion. Not saying he would like or dislike this name, but the process he goes through when buying a name (length, pronounceable, etc.) helped me pick this up at closeout. On a side note, this name was rejected at SH.
