I have (had?) a .com domain at Network Solutions. The domain have expired and should now be in the RGP. I have asked Network Solutions to renew it but they say "No".

Do they have the right to do this? They said something about NameJet auction (can't find it there anyway, thinks it's too late?) and it should soon be transferred over to the new Registrant!?

The whois still says:

Registrant:
Pending Renewal or Deletion
P.O. Box 430
Herndon, VA 20172-0447
US

Have I lost the domain? Help :(

Edit:
Referral URL: http://www.networksolutions.com
Name Server: NS1.PENDINGRENEWALDELETION.COM
Name Server: NS2.PENDINGRENEWALDELETION.COM
Status: clientHold
Status: clientTransferProhibited
Updated Date: 17-jul-2008
Expiration Date: 11-jun-2009

If the name has a bid or backorder at NameJet, it will end up there instead of going through the real RPG process. You might be too late. :(

How can it be possible?

I am from Sweden and with .SE it is impossible for the registars to do something like that...

You don't have any domain rules in the US? It sucks, to be honest...

Problem is, it's been nearly 2 months since the name expired. Looks like the name is not in redemption yet, it might be auctioned at namejet.com
Have a look there.

I agree, it does suck. Basically registrars have found a loophole in the process and can keep the names, bypassing the normal RGP process. (You still generally have around 45 days past expiration to redeem it with most registrars.)
