Do you remove or turn off the option of 'client transfer prohibited' during the waiting phase? Or do you leave it turned on until there is a sale proceeding?

The question might come up in a buyer's mind....with the wording of the CTP on whois, it might scare potential buyers away when they see the CTP in place.

Thoughts?

Interesting question since it certainly sounds ominous versus: "Status: Locked".

Buyers who even know what a WHOIS record is are probably savvy enough to know that this Transfer Lock status text is nothing to be concerned about.

If you know you are selling a domain imminently, you can unlock it, in which case it says:

Status: OK

Personally, I would leave it locked until you are ready to sell, or better yet just sell through a domain marketplace.

Regards,
Rob
