question Releasing funds during basic Escrow domain sale

Hi guys. When selling a domain using NP landers & Escrow.com, when does the buyer typically release the funds — when the auth code is received & transfer started? Or, is it customary to wait for the transfer to complete? Thanks.

the buyer pays escrow, and escrow.com pays the seller, after transfer is completed.
