Look real to me.....
There's probably more publicity in being banned than just running the ad.

Actually, there's probably more publicity in "saying" you're banned, than in actually "being" banned... I wonder if it's not more hype and a ploy in itself...

I'm kind of disappointed in the ad because it is a bit indecent for children. I can see why Fox wouldn't want it aired, especially after the halftime show we all know so well. If that's the way GoDaddy wants to be identified in the business world, as the "hooters of the domain world", thats sad. I'm reconsidering whether or not I want to use their dedicated servers in the future as I was planning to for a personal project. Still might use them just because their customer service is reliable, but I'll have to think about it...

Not only is that a tasteless comercial, it is probably the dumbest one I ever saw. Ever.

Yes, they're real. And they're only $8.95/year.

Real? How can you tell? They are as small as Bob Parson's pea brain. Did you ever read his blog? He is a grade A meathead, a living, breathing USDA reject.

Just goes to show you that ebay sellers should never become real business owners. At some point they will mess it all up. Just like Bob Parsons is doing.

Not the worst commercial, and I'm as big of a fan of eye candy as the next guy... I think it's something about mixing business and pleasure that's always gotten me in trouble

It is a pretty dumb commercial, Bob has sunk to an all-time low

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet,but there's a thing on Access Hollywood tonight about commercials banned from the Super Bowl--and they show GoDaddy's spot on the promo.

No tonly is it dumb but it is obvious tht they are trying to capitalize on all the controversy about decency on TV and radio. Uuuuuummmmm...sorry, that was yesterdays bit. Today is a fresh start. Be creative, be powerful, be unique, be n individual. I think Bob PArsons needs to hire a new marketing dept and not try to BE the marketing department. Copying others and hangin gon to past trends and controversies never made any advertiser a dime worth writing home about.

Bob Parsons, what a silly boy he is. I think he needs to rename his site to GrowUpDaddy.com

Reading his blog, it is also obvious that Bob Parsons is very luck to be where he is today becasue he is a very immature person. In fact, if I did not know any better, after reading his blog I would have thought he was 15 years old.

Ahhh. Now that says something. Bob is trying to get double exposure. However, I feel that he still made a bad choice witht hat ad jus tlike he made abad choice to associate his personal blog with his companies website.

Sure, I like eye candy too, don;t get me wrong, but tasteless is tasteless and a bad commercial is a bad commerical no matter which way you slice it.

If bob was smart, he would distance himself from the discount game altogether instead of playing the "ebay lowballing" game.

It's mildly humoruous and kind of unoriginal. Looks like something MTV would have done....er...well I guess last year they did do the half-time show. My opinion is that is only being circulated on the internet to promote the viral email spreading of the GD name on the humor sharing circuit. I see this as just extra milking of the $4.4 milllion superbowl investment.

Maybe they'd get some name recognition, but sure doesn't make me want to use GD. I would hope the real commercial is a whole lot better and maybe a little more professional.

Your MTV comment rings true, that commercial wasn't 1/2 as "bad" as most of MTV's "programming" (WTF happened to the music?).

Its a type of marketing if they just had a regular old commercial saying you need domains it would have never been seen. There trying to catch your attention and they did. Even though its a lame commercial it dids it job in a way even though not being aired.
