Have any of you had problems with registrar hold, i've called 7 godaddy people today and none have helped! My site is down and I cant do anything. Any tips, help, ideas?

If it isn't working, I would keep hounding them. That is why the customer service is there. Lucky for you the customer service agents at least speak English without a thick accent. Try calling Dell's customer service.... that is a chore.inspiration100 said:Thanks dave, but neither are the case, no change in nameservers just the period called "Registrar hold" I called godaddy and they said all I hafta do is just update my contact info, but no change yet after doing so, do you think I need to call em back and they do it manual?

Are the representatives you are speaking with just incompetent? Or are they having a hard time figuring out what the problem is? Have they told you anything substantive yet about your problem? (ie like why it is happening?)inspiration100 said:lol dont have a dell computer so I wont be testing that anytime soon. I've pounded them all day i'm at 9 phone calls and no help. Dang fools!
It sounds like it might be a hosting problem. I was not able to load the webpage either. You should ask one of the representatives to try and load the page themselves and have them work through the problem with you on the phone. Tell them you will not hang up until the problem is fixed and that you need to speak with a supervisor if they cannot help you.inspiration100 said:They keep thinking registrar hold is when your domain is locked! And they have me log in and unlock my domain and I ask for a supervisor and they dont do much better. Just so you know the domain is www.webmastersdatabase.com
I couldn't imagine it would take 24 hours. I would think the servers should be updated at least hourly. You might want to mention you are a member of a forum where people have literally thousands of domains regged with them. (I alone have ~150 with them). If word gets out they can't get their stuff together, people will find other companies to use.inspiration100 said:Hey, well thats just what I did but the supervisor says it takes "24 hours" for this to resolve, but still nothing. Can I tell him it doesnt take 24 hours? Does it?
Thanks,
