In these days of intelligent cars that talk to the manufacturer and others, will there be a market for car number domains so that people in traffic jams can talk to the car in front. Maybe if could be a new form of dating - sent a message of appreciation to that hot chick in a Lambo next to you.

There IS .VIN...

I haven't looked at the zone file to see if it's being done, but I think it would be a cool idea if companies like CarFax, or even manufacturers, registered vehicle VINs. You can easily see accident history or, from a manufacturer standpoint, see all of the options, sticker price, etc. of the vehicle.

Actually, the original model that .TEL used would be ideal for this TLD.
