Last week I took advangtage of the transfer offer that RegisterFly had, unfortunately the transfer had failed.

Basically I asked for a refund back to my PayPal account, I had done this before in the past. The only problem is they won't give me a refund back via PayPal and telling me I can use the funds to pay for THEIR services which I do not intend on doing.

What do you guys think, do they have the right to keep my money or should they refund it? D-:

I think the way RegisterFly works is that you deposit money into your account and you can use it for any of their services (registration, transfer, etc.). I don't think they give refunds once the money is deposited.

Maybe if you can figure out why the transfer failed you can try it again.

You should look into getting a PP Debit/Credit Card, then you can use it to reg names and the funds are taken from your PP account, you have to have funds avail. to use it mind you, its also great to easly withdraw funds from your PP account at just about any ATM

All refunds are put back into your PP account.

WARNING:

If you currently have domains registered with them and you decide to pursue this matter with them further, I would suggest that you transfer your domains to anopther registrar. I had a similar problem with them (actually they charged my card for transactions that never occured).

Anyhow, I pursued the matter in-line with my rights as a consumer. The end result was that they closed my account and took back all the domains I had registered in the past with them.

If you kinow what is good for you, you will transfer to a more reputable host.

Remember, you get what you pay for. Cheapest does not equal the best. Never does.

I got some flack from others on this forum for posting this before and I suppose I will get more for posting this again. However, I don't care as I want to shre this with you to help you, not to hurt you.

BTW, It is begining to look like RegFly owns this forum or that they are paying people to spam here because of how many threads there are about their specials. I know neither is the case (I think), just an observation.

It is just because that registerfly is actually quite a good registrar with the prices they are offering. They have great support, and every large company has bad reviews. We don't get paid to say this, and i don't think anybody does.

They are a great registrar. The return the funds to your account. Just fix the transfer issue and resubmit from your balance. When transferring names out of godaddy I almost always have to try 2-3 times.

The only thing I don't understand is that I did the exact same thing before and I got a refund, now they just keep telling me I am to only use it for buying their products or services.

I just posted the truth as it happened to me just as you posted the truth as you kno wit. The fact is, I lost domains I had registered with them. they locked them and changed the whois info to their names (some of them have email addresses specifically for "John" who is supposedly an employee but obviously is a little mroe than that seeing how the domains are regitered in his name as well as regfly.

Anyhow, I will not be posting to this thread anymore as I hav ealready given my 2 cents. It's up to the buyer to be catious and BEWARE! RegFly is one of those companies that picks favorites and treats customers they believe to be sub-par like dung.

All I can say is if you are experiencing billing problems due and must resort to credit card disputes and things of the like because they will not respond/fix the problem, be sure that you prepare for the worst and transfer all of your domains away from RegFly before you engage in the dispute or whatnot. Otherwise, you will find your account suspended and your ALL domains locked and unlawfully (asa far as I can tell) and immorally taken from you.

Fair warning. 'Nuff said. I am only posting this to help, not to create an unpleasant atmosphere. Had I had money, I'd have got a lawyer on this case even though it was not cost effctive to do so. Just for principle, you know.

You asked about Registerfly, here's what I posted in another section... I would not recomend dealing with them. Read below.

Say what you want about it but I've spent over a thousand dollars with Registerfly and they suck. They've charged my account twice for one purchase on 12 occasions. Their live chat is with some Dufe named Roger.. that's all I've gotten and he's working on a copy paste answer basis. He says submit a support ticket.

Submit a support ticket and it says 3-4 hours but allow 24.. they fail to mention 60 or more hours. The live phone... that's another story, you cannot talk to anyone who knows anything unless you are looking to become a new customer.

One day I regged 10 names in one day. They closed my account. I had to first talk with Roger on the live chat who knows nothing and offers spin... "send a support ticket". After doing 10 names, they thought someone hijacked my account even though nothing changed. After a half hour on the phone twice, that issue was solved but when it was, they double dipped my accounts.

I pay for my names at regfly with paypal but once in a while I'll use my atmcard from a checking. Well they not only suspended the registration on the 10th name... (which could have been lost) but took money directly out of my checking account.

Talked to dumb Rog again.... "support ticket". So I called and they also said the same thing after being disconnected the first call. Support ticket has been filed now for 6 hours so far..... So far, after 2 years of dealing with these morons, they suck no matter how cheap they are.

Now, going further on the site... when you're logged on during registration you have to constantly re-enter your password to reg a name. If you go to push on the left side of the page when you're logged on to push a name, it doesn't give you an option to push just one, it just verifies you're pushing all.

The bulk manage tool and price are the only good things about this site and this company. They have slow server times when regging also.

Registerfly is pathetic and that's from experience!
