Hi,

Anyone see the new design at registerfly.com? I think it looks very clean and professional. The old one was really nice too :).

Thank You,
Donny

I'm interested in their "Make An Offer On A Domain" that they are aiming to make live in June 20. If this is a copy of TDNAM, then it may be a good place to sell. I found it easier to sell on TDNAM in the early days.

I designed the new design for them. :)
I like it more than the old one.

Really?... it looks awesome.

I really like the new design, faster loading indeed, though I'm a little lost with some features like the blogs, the whois profiles managements and support.... just seeking the new locations within the layout.

So far the only bug that remains is the bulk update whois, when you apply it it set "no profile" and RegisterFly information as owner.

Paypal is not live yet and StormPay disappeared due to obvious reasons... StormPay limiting ability to use them as payment processor.

The page design is a lot better. The old one had way to much graphics, and was even slow to load with a 3 Mbit DSL. I'd hate to have been a dial-up customer.

Unfortunately, the scripts don't seem to have been updated yet. Bulk change still does not work correctly. My account still shows dozens of names coming due and past due that are no longer with registerfly. Some customer service training for first line support would be a good investment for them.

BTW, I've head the "paypal is coming back soon" response to various posted inquiries for many months now.

The response I got from tech support is that Bulk Modifications are being still worked on....So all this new design etc....I could care less. Without bulk modification working properly, its really useless for domainers with hundreds of names. Its a lot of hassles and time spent for what are mundane issues.

I do not think Paypal is coming back. Paypal has stated several times that they are done doing business with RegisterFly due to the hundreds and thousands of unresolved complaints.

And if it does come back, don't expect it to be back for long.

By responding to comments here on Namepros, all they are trying to do is damage control. They could have avoided all of this by having solid customer service to begin with and not mislead customers. Good companies know its not just about damage control. By selling services they can't truly support is what we are looking at now.

I have been tearing my hair out trying to work with RegFly over the past couple days. If I wasnt working for someone trying to register 1000's of .info domains I would have run far from RegFly many months ago.

Just curious, you said that "paypal has stated..." , yet I can't seem to find this. Heavy claims, no? I'd be interested in the source, as PayPal is not quick to "point fingers" like that and highlight their own inadequacies. You can PM me with the location of this statement, if you would like.

Amazing deals is exactly what they have been offering for about a month now. $4 transfer in deals for .com's is incredible. Also $3 .net sale and the 60 cent .info deal was crazy.
The ONLY reason to deal with Registerfly.com...okay, and Namepros member RegFly who sorts everything out when there's no way to get an answer from customer service, or even to remain on hold without being disconnected. They did have online chat customer service for about a week, but it's gone too.
Still, their special are almost worth it!!

Paypal isn't coming back, thats what reflects from comments by a customer care person.

Problems with new design is that many, many settings and features are not working and they assure same shall be working soon. Now, this raises eyebrows, as to why they went for a site change, when they had not integrated their newly created site with their scripts and all ?
Could they have not put this new site as beta, for restricted use or for internal testing and present it to customers only when 100% complete and working.

Things not working as per my checking it a couple of days ago :-
# SubUser Account
# Whois protection for newly registered accounts (atleast in my case, even after enabling it)
# When newly regged domain is pushed internally, why does protectfly get disabled and re-enabling demands $ ? When protectfly is supposed to be free for newly regged domains then irrespective of accoutns they are in, it must remain activated and also not ask for more $, evenif disabled temporarily.
# Settings menu has broken/not working links
Account Profiles
++ Use Whois Profiles to quickly manage the whois information on your domains
++ Create your own name server profiles and re-user to save time
# I wasn't able to push domain to my friend , not once but twice and it asked for secret code which I had never set in. ALso, as advised in instructions there, I filled in new but it refused to accept. Finally I had to seek support. Support was fine but why should always have to ask them for pushing ?

Site design is nice and better than previous one but registerfly forgets, we are not coming there to see designs, but register domains and if features relating to same are unavailable or broken, then good design helps no one.

Payapl, is a must, and now when considerable population uses paypal, they should settle their disputes with paypal, and try to be business savvy. Surely , once paypal is back, many would pop in, but chances are slim, if response provided to me is to be believed.

Well their scripts are still buggy and they even have a data loss problem which is a pretty serious thing.
So my guess is that even customer service is overwhelmed. There is little they can do when it comes down to system malfunctions.
If think they should hire a software company, audit their system and start it over.
Correct the bugs or rewrite the scripts. How can they possibly do business like that. Also they would save on customer service. Right now their staff is spending too much time on issues that should not exist in the first place.
