I'm interested in a website, but the domain is at RegisterFly. I heard they were shutting down?

If thats true, would I just have to transfer the domain out of them? If so, how long do I have?

Do you want the domain name, or what's on the site?

I bought the contents of a site, and the name, but don't care about the name because I just didn't care for it much and trying to transfer out of regfly is seemingly not worth my time.

Most of the sites I looked at I wasn't interested in the domain, but this one isn't to bad - so I'll probably keep it, for now atleast.

Yes, IF you can transfer out. In another week, all registerfly domains may be at another registrar by ICANN's placing as well.

Search the registerfly threads in the last 60 days for the whole story, since it's too much to re-explain here.

I'm waiting to see what happens before I fork out a few 10's to transfer all my domains

You can ask the seller to unlock the domain and provide you EPP code, you can then initiate transfer from your favorite registrar. Just keep in mind that the domain wasn't registered in last 60 days.
