Regging Other People's Names

I've come across names of other people, namely minor actors and models that do not have their .coms registered. Is it wise to register them? I know they have full right to dispute the registration and take the name from me, but should I reg it anyway? After all, there is some OVT and a small fan base that can be targeted.

What is your experience and or thoughts about this?

BenedictXVI.com Owner Donates Address to N.Y. Charity
Owners of other domains playing off of the new pope's name aren't feeling so charitable. A man identifying himself as Jacopo di Trani, of Florence, Italy, has put up a Web site at Benedict16.com, offering to sell it to the highest bidder. Asked by e-mail if he'd feel any qualms selling the domain to a gambling site, di Trani wrote: "Absolutely NO. It's just the right thing to do. Life eats life and nothing is sacred, man."

Di Trani said he's received offers of up to 10,000 euros (about $12,900) for the domain. He said he plans to put the address up for sale in an eBay auction.

Yeah :)
Too bad I haven't accepted that offer!

I have Penelope Cruz dot info, but I haven't parked it. I probably should.

Well, with a 63K OVT, I would say YES! :)

I use "celebrity pictures" as my keyword and it seems to get some good amount of clicks. I wonder if anyone else gets good results from something else.

Interestingly enough, someone has the name in their Sedo account so now I have to screw around so Sedo can fix that.

I'm guilty of "LeonardoDiCaprio.us"...

I'll be developing it soon. ;)

I'm testing whether .us domains do as well as .info domains. I have two celebrity names with both the extensions parked. Figured I'll let them run a while and see which does better. I suspect the .info, but we'll see.

FYI, my celebrityname.info domains are getting more traffic than the same celebrityname.us domains. Just as I suspected they would. :)

I have many unused celebrity (mainly actors & models) name.info (more than 150)

Do you know a good way to make a fansite or something similar easily ?
Maybe php. So, with a single templates, i just have to changes somes infos like biography & pictures to get a "new" website in a minute.

Or do you use other thing do make a simple fansite ?
