Recommend me a New Laptop or Computer

Need a computer for:

• website building
• word processing
• long term reliability
• speed
• lots of internet use
• reliable mouse and keyboard

Don't need

• gaming
• largest screen

My budget is not necessarily limited. I was hoping to snag it off Amazon.com to take advantage of the shipping and some accessories.

Have: Toshiba Satellite L505 (2 years old) with malfunctioning parts and things I have already replaced. Getting harder and hard to use by the day.

Thinkpads are the best laptops. Still. Not the cheapest but the best keyboard, decent Linux support and generally reliable and have a good weight/build balance.

For a laptop the keyboard/mouse pointer are BEST in business.

If you get the docking station you can treat it as a desktop by just dropping it in. Always use Lenovo.com (which has poor shipping/delays) and always with a coupon code.

Remember that these are "boring" laptops primarily for business use. This business use is reflected in the build quality imho.

Can't emphasise enough how great a thinkpad keyboard is.

Yup go for Lenovo one. They have good battery backup and strong enough.
Don't go for HP

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad T42 that is still working awesome after about 6 years now. They are great multi taskers as well.
