Hello, just wanted some people's opinions on a "final offer" for one of my 1 word .info's at sedo. The one thing that puts a sour taste in my mouth is the loooong waits selling a domain with sedo. Wish the buyer would contact me through whois. Anyways...

stylist dot info $225us
OVT 4711

reps added for your thoughts and thanks for your time, Gary.

ps-what are your thoughts on sending to auction as well?

why not send it to auction, i think its a nice one worder and maybe worth slightly more

if your happy with the price as a minimum i would send it to auction and hopefully you'll get another bidder in on the action

Yeah, send it to auction. It's a win win for you.

I think you can fetch more, which we will see in the auction.

But, at the same time, $225 for this .info isn't something you should flat our turn down.

no loss in sending it to auction. it wouldnt make sense to just accept their offer.

In other ways, they could see it as offensive not just taking there offer? You send it to auction, they decide not to pay. So in the end it could be a loss.

A lot of times they decide not to pay even if you accept their offer. Also consider that Sedo takes $50 I think.

I just sold a name on Sedo and the guy is asking for a printed receipt before he sends money! I think he is yanking my chain.

For that .Info, I would take the $225 offered, They may back out if you send it to auction.

Oftentimes when you send domains to auction, the buyer gets pissed off and backs out of the deal by simply not responding to Sedo's emails. I don't believe they take any disciplinary actions against these buyers. So, it's quite a big gamble if you send it to auction and don't get any other bids. For me, it's a fair price, so if you are only chasing a few more dollars, I'd accept the bid.

Personally, I'd counter with about $800. If they counter back, then send it to auction. That's a pretty nice keyword for .info, and there could be tens of thousands of hair stylists who might want it and afford a higher price. I certainly wouldn't accept a price that low, and my experience with getting more bids on sedo has been pretty disappointing.

However, pricing also depends on your cash flow and expected domain turn rate. If you need the money and have a buyer, it's sometimes hard to turn that down.

Yeah, thats what I was thinking for the most part. I have sent several to auction and some have made me more $$ while others didnt receive anymore bids and buyer ended up backing out. The thing that hurts me the most is the $50 fee. I have nothing to loose I guess as I wouldn't mind keeping it if buyer backs out so I guess I will send to auction and let everyone else decide :)

thanks, and rep will be added.

I didnt see yours before I posted... I don't need the cash and I think to the right buyer (enduser) this domain could have a lot more value. Hhhmmm, back to where I started :) I did counter offer 1200 when he offered 199. I have a few more days to decide, thanks everyone! 50/50 on selling/keeping it.

$225 seems to be a fair price IMO..

Has the domain been on sedo for a long time with no offers? if so then $225 may be in your best interest.

Just my 2 cents.

$225 fair enough for stylist dot info
But if you are not in rush to sell .. you can ask for more.
I still prefer to go with this offer.

Stylist.us $195 Afternic 2005-06-20

I would not sell it for that amount, send it to auction and pray someone else hops in

It's probably a fair price in the current market, perhaps a little on the low side when SEDO's taken its cut. Along with the factors mentioned above (e.g. your current cashflow situation), think about where .info is going. If (and it's a big "if") you think it's going to rise, you may want to hang on for a year or two.

Send it to auction or counter $500.

Send it to an auction. you never know u might just strike some real good deal if it happens to come into the notice of a more "interested" buyer :)

I would either send it to auction & promote the auction heavily, or counter with a higher price & work from there

Counteroffer if its his first offer only.

my opinion

I don't think I am going to sell or send to auction. I have been burned by sedo for my last 4 sales and they take a nice fee for .info's to boot. With that being said someone is making offers on a lot of my .info's (most likely same person). I would hope if he is seriously interested he would whois me. The offers:

sigh.info 125
managed.info 250
named.info 60 (names sold for over 10K several months ago, although a better word than mine)

ACtually now checking I received 2 different bids on stylist (in 2 days)
225
199
Only one I might send to auction is sigh as I dont care about it. ALso maybe after he wins it I will find out who bought it and talk to him directly.

Thanks to everyone, Gary.

Sold sigh for 150 (good ROI for me). Now I can get his email to discuss the other ones :)
