Mods can you please place in the appropriate category. I have no idea where it should go. Thank you
I had originally posted this in the BrandBucket Experience thread in response to equity78 and Eric Lyon deciding that certain rules should be applied to this thread. This post was deleted because it was off topic and I have been asked by Eric Lyon to please start your own thread. Here is post #1.

To start policing the BrandBucket Experience thread now after all this time is an atrocious decision. Eric Lyon is wrong to say this is a review thread. This thread has nothing to do with reviews. I can't even remember the last time someone gave an actual review. Probably in 2013 when the thread started.
If this thread really has these rules applied to it then this thread will cease to exist. It just passed 300,000 views and now you want to start adding rules to it? Really?
There is a huge difference between a Review and Experience. To clarify I posted both definitions below. Ray is right that the thread title should be changed. If Eric Lyon can't change the thread title because it's in the Review section then move it to a section that the title can be changed. I will be PMing the thread starter @xtremex and request that he change the title. Equity78 had the perfect name for it. "All Things BrandBucket" is a great title.
EXPERIENCE: knowledge or practical wisdom gained from what one has observed, encountered, or undergone
http://www.dictionary.com/browse/experience?s=t
REVIEW: a general survey of something, especially in words; a report or account of something
http://www.dictionary.com/browse/review?s=t
When I EXPERIENCE something and write about that experience it includes everything that was derived from that experience. Knowledge, Wisdom, Emotions etcโฆ.
When I REVIEW something I only give an account of that review with no Knowledge, Wisdom, or Emotions attached to that review. Only the facts. Nothing more nothing less.
The thread starter didn't ask me to give a boring Review of BrandBucket but they did ask for my Experience with BrandBucket and that Experience is still ongoing because the more I learn about Brandables the more wide spread my knowledge of my original Experience with BrandBucket becomes.
There is clearly a difference between an Experience and a Review of something.
The original thread starter posted this below to start the thread way back in May 2013.
hello
I am new to BrandBucket. Before getting my hands on this
I wish to experience about brandbucket from my fellow members
Thanks
Did he ask for you to review BrandBucket? No, he wished to hear all of our experiences both good and bad. If his original intention was to only hear positive experiences then he would have asked for only positive experiences. I have personally experienced BrandBucket and even though my experience is now old it is still a completely viable experience that members are still learning from today. To let "The Report Button Abusers" now called TRBA, continue to have an issue with what I say because it is so called Old are ridiculous.
On page one of this thread, members have listed names they submitted to BB and other members have made comments about those names. This is on page one. Why start changing the rules now about what can and can't be said when on day one you had no issue with it. Let me remind you that was in May 2013. 3 full years ago. Less than two weeks after this thread started people were already questioning certain things about BrandBucket and that included Ray Equity78 a MOD here at Namepros. Why in the world today should we have to stop making comments or asking questions now when on week one it didn't matter.
Anyone should be able to talk about anything pertaining to BrandBucket here. It is an EXPERIENCE thread not a REVIEW thread. Members that don't like what is said don't have to read it but to constantly hide behind the Report button is becoming a joke already. Some members have nothing to say but only Report what could be deemed not in their best interest. What a form censorship that Namepros is allowing. If I have something to say I should be able to say it and not one person should be able stop me. If I am making threats then by all means that is wrong but just because I or someone else makes a comment that hurts your feelings that doesn't mean you have to cry about it. This isn't 3rd grade. If you have a problem with me then PM me and let's talk about it but to constantly hide behind a button is becoming monotonous already.
This thread, for the most part, doesn't have a lot going on. Sometimes there are days without one thing being said. I completely understand that the MODS don't get paid but neither do apprentices. Part of working here for free is your love for domaining and the contacts and knowledge you will learn from being deep into a particular field. To make rules because of the TRBA making you work to hard at this one moment in time is wrong. It will pass like everything else and this thread will become slow again.
What should happen is TRBA should be banned after X amount of abuses of the report button. If the same members over and over and over again continuously report comments then I think it becomes obvious that the original commenter is not the problem especially when the comments being reported are coming from various different threads about various different topics and about various different members. Real life is tough sometimes and you need to grow some thick skin to deal with certain situations. If you can't learn to handle what is said within a thread because it may hurt your feelings then don't visit the thread anymore. No one is forcing you to come here and read it. If you're a masochist then go get some help. I'm not a psychiatrist.
