I just registered a potentially very valuable generic .do (Dominican Republic) domain at EuroDNS. Three hours later, my domain is still processing. I checked with nic.do to see if my name had gone through, but guess what? The name is already registered to someone else. The owner bought it a month ago.
This is probably the registry's fault and not the registrar's, but I'm still pretty annoyed that EuroDNS said a domain is available when it's been registered for a month. The company even charged my debit card. The name was $250.00....
The name would have been a blockbuster. Hopefully once EuroDNS realizes what has happened they will return my money promptly.
Has this happened to anyone else before with a ccTLD?
