Appraisal Please! R-o.me (Geo domain)

R-o.me

At this stage of the game, it is not listed on the search engines,as I just recently reg'd it. If you type it in to google... it reads it as if there is no hyphen or period! Just.... Rome!

Estibot value for Rome.com is $1,100,000!

Would appreciate some idea of value, if any...

Thanx in advance!

Saucey

Nuttin... the value of Rome.com is interesting, the nice thing is the traffic..

I am in noooo waaaaay saying that a .com is valued the same as or even close to a .me...

But, having said that, there is surely more of a chance of making a buck on a .me who's .com cousin is worth mucho denero...than one who's .com cousin is worth 10 bucks... I would think.....(I realise this name..R-o.me is more of a "second" or "third" cousin..)

Mainly, I just figured if I can get a site going.... and it shows up as simply "Rome" in the search engines (not sure if that's the case yet), then it will help with getting traffic to my site.. (still fairly green on the development side of things.... so maybe this method of thinking is wrong...)

According to estibot, even just r-o receives TotalSearches™ 59540 /mo

Your thoughts and comments are appreciated..

Cheers!

I don't think so. A difference of a single character can make a $$$,$$$ domain worth $0. For example do you believe p-izza.com is worth even 0.01% of pizza.com ?
Domain hack + hyphen = poor domain. No particular value without development IMO, but I would not even bother with developing. Better names must still be available in that TLD (ie generics, no hacks, no hyphens).

highest right now is probably mid $xx to end user.
It is a hack, but you've basically got a 3 char .me. Extension is poor, and letters are average, making this name average at best.

R-o.me

All I see here is further proof that the 'real money' in domaining is in being a registrar!! Waste of reg fee.

listen up saucey. If you believe in it, then it is worth something. Its worth a hellofalot. If you really believe in it then do something with it. Go out there and make something happen. But the question is Do you believe in it. If deep down inside you really don't believe in this domain then get a refund. If you really believe in this domain do something with it.

I agree.

Ro.me would be a sweet domain hack.
