While the game is usually listed at $5, I have temporarily set it to $0 so it can be evaluated for free with no payment needed for the sake of the sale of this website and project.
QuietChess was a passion project of mine that I developed myself with some help from Codex and a few close friends. I'd estimate over 150+ hours of dedicated development time went into this with lots of revisions, bugs fixed from friends/family who play tested the game to get it in what is now an extremely stable version. Support was even added to auto-detect the screen size of the user and resize it accordingly for their monitor resolution. The whole thing is basically a JavaScript game, wrapped in Electron. It is only compiled as a PC version, but with tools like Claude or ChatGPT you could very easily port this to Linux or Mac executables as well for a broader audience, as-is though I just want to clarify that it is intended only for Windows PC operating systems running Windows 10 and Windows 11 in terms of what's included at the time of this sale. I am selling this project only as 'ready for Windows PCs running Windows 10 / 11' though the JavaScript code would make it easy for you the new owner to port it to different platforms at a later date.
The game is in a 'stable' release state where all the core features work, including the custom bot maker. Players can upload any photograph, crop it, and set a name for a computer bot to play against. Then they can use a sliding scale to set the ELO (difficulty) of the bot. This can lead to lots of fun customization and allows players from beginner, to near grandmaster 2800+ ELO to enjoy the game and practice offline. I tried to roughly emulate the 'feel' of online chess, but in a modern 2D format. Also offers an 'achievements' page, multiple different chess boards (some animated with cool designs) , core functions like screen size, volume control, muting, etc. Ability to pick if you start the game as black or white chess pieces, and more. This project runs on the Open Source 'StockFish' Chess engine.

By purchasing this, I will be giving you FULL rights to the source code, the game's distribution, you will be able to set the price of the game, sell it wherever you want, and own the exclusive rights to this project. I have no interest in developing any further for Chess and am simply looking for a new owner to take over this website/game. It has a very large global appeal. Recommended selling price for copies of the game is $5 to $10 per copy, but as the new owner you can set it to whatever you'd like, or make it free. If you'd like small changes such as some of the text, images, descriptions, or minor in-game tweaks I'd be happy to assist, but I am not adding any major gameplay features that are not already included. Future development of this game would involve writing (or using AI assisted tools) for JavaScript primarily, it does not use a game engine like Unity, Unreal, etc. It is just a very similar format to a website with .html page and some JavaScript, wrapped with Electron to turn it in to a desktop version. QuietChess has a simple .exe file that the user can click to run the game.
This project utilizes the open-source "Stockfish" chess engine to power the bots you play against. The in-game images, music, and sound effects used are CC0 or are freely available to redistribute for commercial use, some are subject to crediting the original authors which I've already added in the 'credits' page inside the game with links to their respective URLs.
Who's ready to add a unique 'ready to go' video game project to their portfolio?
Post 'SOLD' in the comments and DM me to purchase this.
It is HIGHLY recommended that you fully sample / evaluate the digital game itself (temporarily free for duration of this listing) before deciding to commit to purchasing this listing. Once you are happy with what's on offer, feel free to message me to arrange the purchase of QuietChess for the Buy it Now price of: $1200, or discuss an offer.
