Quick question-

What is the quickest way to sell a domain and make a profit, (even if you sell your domain for less than it's true value)?

The quickest way to sell a domain? Put it on Ebay, or auction it here at NamePros.

It takes the right buyer to buy a specific domain. Unless your in a hurry to make some quick cash, I would wait until a few months before the domain needs a renewal to start going way lower in price.

Selling domain isn't a good way to make money unless you have good names.

Actually, it's a rubbish name. It's one of the first domains i brought.

It doesn't get any traffic, and i'm too lazy to develop it.

I got it for $10, i just want to get rid of it quickly.. and maybe get a small profit as well.

enuffy this looks like another expired name to me and $10 lost

If you check the board (that is full of resellers) they sell some good domains for $4 or $8, if it's a crappy name and you're lazy to develop it the odds are very few to sell it

If you put it in ebay you will pay for the auction fees and possibly you will loose more money than the $10 registration cost

Yeah, if its crappy put it up for auction here with no reserve- its free and you may recoup some of the money.

if i was you, here is what i'm going to do:
1. looking for a free host service
2. Make it a blog, about anything
3. Have google adsense on all pages

====> you might end up make more than $10/year to recover the domain reged fee. What u say?

1. Its about 10 bucks. 10 bucks of this + another 10 bucks of that... Thats lot of money to me. Believe me Thats alot.
2. Your domain values will be increase if you have an active site; indexed by searched engines.

Thanks for all your replies :)

I've decided to hang onto the domain, and not to sell it yet. At the moment it's valueless.

I like abcde's idea most.. i'll create a blog.. just scrapping it will mean i've wasted money.

Now i've got to decide what the blog will be about, something that will recieve traffic..

Any ideas?
:)

You can have the most amazing blog idea in the world but it doesn't guarantee success. Use ANY topic that is related to the domain and develop, more importantly SEO.

u gave me an idea, thx anyway. but surely if we wanna make money trough the adsense your domain should have a good name, at least. or you have to put valueable information on it to make your "user" come and come again or may click your adsense.

As you renewed it, I'd add to...
1. looking for a free host service
2. Make it a blog, about anything
3. Have google adsense on all pages

this...
- Interlink your domains with direct liks to each other, but not reciprocal links.
- Get more external back links.
- Create/ improve your content
- Wait till you get some Google PR 2, 3, 4...
- List it here, sell on eBay by regular fee +fees as Starting Price.

You keep a good network of domains, recoup your expenses, get lots of experience when registering other domains.

Sure, there is more, but this covers the most.

Lookup auto insurance on Overture and you will find the answer. Just about every adult with internet access is interested in reading about auto insurance if it will help them save money or teach them something they didn't know.

If you're looking for a topic that's more interesting to you, then logically you should write about something you are interested in. If you are passionate about a topic, it will make it easier to write about it consistently on a blog. Of course, it depends on the domain name. What is it by the way?

briman1970 is right
Choosing a topic by the adsense value will not bring you visitors because simply after some days you will not know what to write
Think your interests and locate the one you believe you're good
