Questions about were to get web development

Me and my friends came up with an original idea for a diet tracking website (we searched and no other diet tracking site has this feature at the moment) And I was curious as to were I would get web development (Complete custom script with CMS admin backend, web 2.0 design ect..) or should I pay someone to mod the **** out of wordpress / joomla? But anyway, this is a legit idea that I see many people using, and I would really like to see it done..

Also what are price expectations on getting something like this completed?

You can post your project to freelance sites such as rentacoder.com, elance.com, getafreelancer.com and have them bid on your project.

for the price... if you see that Joomla or Wordpress can do the job, I would suggest that you hire someone to mod and create a unique template for it rather than create a custom script. That will save you lots of $$$.

my estimate for a wordpress/joomla script customization and template design will be around $250-$700.
