.tv Questions about IDN dotTV

recently, I tried to registered some Chinese IDN dotTV domain through domainsite, dd24 and idotz, initially, it says that the domain is available for registration for regular fee, but Verign kept refusing me for registration. After that, I check through idotz etc, but it says those IDN domains are not available, but no matching record. What happened? Anyone has such experience? Thanks.

It's because a variant of the domain is already registered. Before trying to register a chinese domain always check both the simplified and traditional versions to make sure it's available.

A lot of the very top Chinese .tv's have been taken by now.

I don't believe this is true. Many terms that are premium in English - like sex, news, sports - were available just a few months ago at standard reg fee.

I also think so, but i still do not understand why this happenes. I do not think my input is wrong, because I also checked the .com, .net etc, all regged. But all the registrars says the IDN .tv is avaible, so i submit my order, but verisign keep refusing me with unknown reason. This is weird to me. :td:

They're both taken in their traditional Chinese version. Shopping is 購物, and car is 汽車.
