Undeveloped,... LasVegas.com or LasVegasNevada.com What is the value ratio between the two? I know LasVegas.com would be worth more money, but would LasVegasNevada.com be a close second?

Cheers!

Yes, definitely. Your answer is in your question itself. lasvegas.com would be more valuable than lasvegasnevada.com.

LasVegasNevada.com is 3 words, too long to be brandable, it's not a category, it's potentially keyword dense but since there is only one Las Vegas, you'd have to wonder why somebody would add Nevada to their search for Las Vegas content. LasVegas.com would be a $10m domain, LasVegasNevada.com would be $4,000-$6,000. Talking about value ratios is like comparing a Ferrari with a rickshaw.

All things equal I would take the exact city name LasVegas.com over LasVegasNevada.com by a wide margin.

Las Vegas - 1.5M exact global searches
Las Vegas Nevada - 550K exact.

Do you have any domains the quality of LasVegasNevada.com you want to sell for Mid $X,XXX? It is worth WAY more than that.

LasVegas.com is not a good example. LasVegas.com is like a huge flawless diamond, the kind that comes up for sale once every ten years. I am sure Rick Schwartz would price LasVegas.com at at least $100 million, non-negotiable. Comparing LasVegas.com with LasVegasNevada.com is exactly like comparing one of the most rare expensive vintage Ferrari to a a broken down rickshaw.

If you were to compare Omaha.com to OmahaNebraska.com, the values would be closer. It would be like comparing a plain Ferrari to VW Golf.

GEO related .COM of one of the top travel destinations in the world with 550K exact searches are not only worth Mid $X,XXX.

You are over-generalizing big time. IMO.

Frankly, you have a tendency to place too much value on search numbers. It's important, but you tend to let all the marbles ride on that one metric. This is a special case as was mentioned earlier. LasVegas.com is a diamond among domains.

And as someone wisely pointed out above, there is only one Las Vegas and including Nevada in the search is just plain dumb. I guess if you want to build a website for idiots you could build a mini-site with the Nevada variation.

I guess the 18,000+ people a day who search for "Las Vegas Nevada" are dumb them.

Let me know when you have a domain of this quality available for $25K. I would buy it in an instant at that price, and still have room to turn a massive profit.

I see that 'lasvegasnevada' is available in three popular extensions and 'lasvegas' is available in none. Interesting factoid.

Since when are CC/EU/BE popular extensions? I am not sure what those being available has to do with the value of this in .COM

Being taken in all these extensions shows you the demand for the term itself.

lasvegasnevada.com Taken - whois
lasvegasnevada.net Taken - whois
lasvegasnevada.org Taken - whois
lasvegasnevada.info Taken - whois
lasvegasnevada.biz Taken - whois
lasvegasnevada.mobi Taken - whois
lasvegasnevada.asia Taken - whois
lasvegasnevada.name Taken - whois
lasvegasnevada.tel Taken - whois
lasvegasnevada.ws Taken - whois
lasvegasnevada.us Taken - whois
lasvegasnevada.cn Taken - whois
lasvegasnevada.tv Taken - whois
lasvegasnevada.co.uk Taken - whois
lasvegasnevada.me Taken - whois

By the way, for everyone saying there is only one Las Vegas. There might be only 1 famous Las Vegas, but there is another Las Vegas in the US, and what is their official site?

It doesn't, and really shows that it's worth it to reg it in various extensions.

i dont understand this thing
lasvegasnevada.com was registered earlier than lasvegas.com =)

Vegas.com or
LasVegas.com?

LasVegas.com is the most valuable of the three by a wide margin. Vegas.com is a very nice domain, at the same time LasVegas.com is more targeted and the proper name with higher search volume and demand.

LasVegas.com is definitely worth alot more then LasVegasnevada.com and as someone stated earlier there is just one POPULAR Las Vegas people look for (majorly) in search engines, in the world so nobody would really type Las Vegas Nevada to search or as a domain name for that particular one.

Hence I strongly believe that LasVegas.com would have a value worth mills where as LasVegasNevada.com not worth much maybe mid 4 figures.. Plus LasVegas.com holds the most value then any other extension or similar name!!

Just my two bits ;)
