Question for developers, please help!

Ok any help is really appreciated.

I want to make some extra money by building websites for local small business in my area, I have an account with hostgator (babycroc) and I see they have plenty of really nice templates to choose from, what I would like to do is try to sell websites with those templates (something quick and easy) I will be printing those templates and let the pick based on their business type, now I will be hosting all the sites in the same account(unlimited domains) and I will be adquiring the domains for them, do some small SEO, you know the basics, my questions is:

How much should I charge to build the wesites? I was thinking of charging like 20 bucks per month for maintenance and updates (every month to create steady revenue for me) to have their site online, is this ok?

I was thinking to start $100 bucks and that includes:
Logo
Website Design
Basic SEO
Hosting for the first month

What do you recommend? how much is people charging nowadays? What should I be expecting?

that's a good price to start with, slowly include some add on benefits/features as you go along. if you do a good job then they would refer you as well

a package like this could also be worth U.S.$300 to U.S.$500 including seo stuff.

giving a blanket cost like this without a very explicit agreement can be quite costly. what if you need revisions on the logo or website design? what if you can't make those changes yourself? also, maintenance varies greatly. etc etc.

thanks shockie, the logo design is gonna have 2 revisions, website will be the base template they choose plus 5 pages of information provided by the customer, that sounds fair right? The only thing I'm worried about is to find a software or script that would auto charges x amount per month once the site is done.

You can add domain registration service also
Get reseller from enom, resellerclub, godaddy etc.
