I am thinking of transferring my domain names to a new register. As to regsiter names with the new register is only $25 for two years.

I have a question though.

They charge $25 to register but they are also charging an additional $17 for two years DNS.

Correct me if im wrong please.

If I transfer my domain name and my site is being hosted through another provider, do I still need to pay the fee for the DNS?

If not, in what situation would I need to pay the DNS fee?

Thanks in advance

Honestly, that's extremely expensive. Go with a registrar like Godaddy and you will save a lot of money + get the ability to modify DNS for free.

See this thread: http://www.namepros.com/domain-name-discussion/479933-godaddy-discount-code-com-names-now.html for the best coupon depending on what extension your domains are.

you don't need the dns account then since it will be based on your hosting account, just inquire if they're offering resellership so you can get in like U.S.$19.95/year or cheaper if done bulk.

Sorry weblord I don't understand what you mean,

Heres the site i want to transfer and register some of my domains with cause they are due for renewal on registration and they are cheaper then my current registrar.

www.crazydomains.com.au

They charge $12.90 per year registration + if DNS add a further $8.50

My site is hosted by another business. Therefore I only need to pay for registration and NOT DNS,,, right?
