Register Fly DNS Settings

Does anyone understand Register Flys DNS settings?

I regged a .COM name and initially forwarded it to a holding page.

I then went back and used thier web site tools to create an "Index.html" page using their 10MB free hosting but the name wont resolve and i dont know how to remove the forwarding I set earlier.

The DN is iPodMiniMart.com if anyone can help please?

Yes I know them well

You would log into your account. Click your domain name. Choose the URL redirection option. Choose URL framing, Specify your flyservers URL

It would probaly be(the domain is always at the end)

http://flyservers.registerfly.com/members5/ipodminimart.com/

And voila your domain resolves to your site

Riceman, The settings you are suggesting look like they only frame-forward the domain name to the pages. When you do this, a search spider like Google's will only see the meta tags that are set in the control panel. They will not index the pages.

What Jasper really needs to do is set the advanced DNS settings as follows:

yourdomain.com 10 ADDRESS 209.223.101.166
WWW 10 ADDRESS 209.223.101.166
@ 10 ADDRESS 209.223.101.166

Of course your domain.com is replaced by your domain. I set up my sites the same way after contacting support via live chat.

Do you mind if I ask where do you get the ip numbers from?
Or do I have to replace them with "http://www.flyservers.....mydomain.com?
Also what does "number of rows" mean?

Registerfly live chat support gave me the IP addresses. You must use the ones I posted (according to them). They worked for me.

There are three rows of four fields that need to be entered into the corresponding fields and rows in the advanced DNS control panel.

It takes 12 to 48 hours for this to take effect.
