.mobi Question about Transfer domain via Sedo (Domain sell)

Hi!

I have received the email from Sedo.com , they ask me to do sth. since my domain will sell to sb.

My question:
Is this really from Sedo?
Why should I provide them my domain's authorization (EPP) code ? Thanks!



The following is the email content:

The buyer has remitted the full payment for this domain name into our
escrow account. In order to proceed, we will need some assistance on
your end to undertake the transfer in a safe and expedient manner.

Please log into your registrar account and turn the locking function
of the domain off. The domain will not transfer if it remains in a
locked status. We will also need you to send us the authorization
(EPP) code for this domain name. The buyer needs this information to
transfer the domain name into their possession.

When all of these preparations have been completed, please send a
confirmation email along with the authorization (EPP) code and I will
instruct the buyer to initiate a transfer request from their
registrar. If you are unclear about how to do any of these steps,
please contact Sedo or your registrar for further instructions.

Not really a mobi related question but simply log into your Sedo account and see what status it tells you there.

Probably best that you contact sedo directly to get answers to these questions.

Providing a Epp code is a new policy from Icann. Every name that sells has to have the epp code to finish the transaction. Go to your registrar, ( where you registered your domain) and find the epp code. Then give that code to your Sedo representive.

Then the name will be given to the new buyer and you will be paid for your selling it.

HI Tony,

The Process of Transfer with Sedo is as follows:

1. The Buyer remits the payment to the Sedo Escrow Account.
2. Sedo sends you a mail asking for the EPP Code
3. You send sedo the EPP Code.
4. Sedo sends the EPP Code to the BUyer and then the Buyer Initiates a Transfer from his Registrar end.
5. Your Registrar sends you a mail with some Password and Info
6. Forward this mail to Sedo
7. Sedo sends this to Buyer.
8. You get another mail from your registrar Confirming that the Transfer has started and if you do not have any objections it will be complted on the 5th day.
9. on the 5th Day the name is transffered to the Buyer.
10. Check with your Registrar if the Transfer is complete or see the WHOIS of the name and see if the Change in the Info has taken place.
11. Send a mail to Sedo asking for the payment
12. Sedo sends you the payment by Paypal or by Wire or Cheque, whichever way you want it.

13. YOU ARE A RICH MAN NOW.
