I just registered some domain names and I thoght that I have to wait 60 days to sell it, however, I saw many ebayers selling domain names that are just registered and saying that they can transfering it immediately!!!

Am I missing something?

You can't switch registrars for 60 days. You can change the registrant as long as they remain at the same registrar.

The buyer has to wait the 60 days anyway after the transfer. So are you telling me that I can sell the domain before the 60 days and transfer the domain to the buyer using the same registrar?

Yes. you can usually buy today, transfer registrants tomorrow unless the registrar has their own rule against it, which most don't. The rule is simply that a newly registered domain must remain at the original registrar for 60 days.

Godaddy/Wildwest has their own internal rules as well that they won't allow registrar transfers for 60 days after a change of registrant. However that is not a rule at other registrars and not an ICANN rule.

For newly registration domain, I think, you or the buyer can open a free account, and then push the domain to new account. After 60 days, transfer out or not, it is up to the buyer. :))

Just have them create an account at the same registrar and just push the domain name to them.
