I was woundering if this is appropiate to do. If you own and are selling a .com and its regiestered in other extensions is it appropiate to contact the owners of the other extensions to see if they're interested in obtaining your .com

Also I was woundering how do .coms play in the rest of the world I know they're the best I'm canadian and I would'nt want a site in .ca or any other extensions but what about people in the UK or Germany would they much rather have the domain in a .com or is it not a big deal to them to have a .co.uk or .de.

Say theres a developed site on the .co.uk or .de would these people usually rather have that domain in a .com

Thanks

If you get traffic from Germany, probably it is because people misstype it. They do not type the Germanian site (the .de) and you could use this to advertise your domain to the .de domain holder.

If there is no TM issue, advertise it. .com is the strongest, and people associate it to the internet (though french people are very attached to their .fr for example).

It is perfect if you advertise it to the holders of other tld's unless there is no TM issue. Also use some threads from here (there is a sticky one about end user sales here in the domain name discussion forum), to see some letter examples etc.
