I had an offer for $2k for this name a week ago, from a company who develops products for clients. Unfortunately, they went with another very similar name.

Is $2k a fair price or was it just a lucky offer?

hard to say, if you find the right person it could be $1.5k - $2k again. Brandable, easy to remember, kinda bad for word-of-mouth... If it doesnt sell after being on the market for a while just lower the price. But IMO its worth < $1k

I would have gladly taken the offer. As I stated, they went with another similar domain name instead.

$2000 is probably alot for that name if it's undeveloped. Still quite a few 4-letter .coms out there unregistered.

$2k is a weeeeeeeeeeeee bit much, but nothing feels better than a big weeeeeeee! ;)

Try selling it to them again? This time, taking $500 off or so. Heck, $1500 for that is still getting away with murder.
