.tv Qoof and where I have been hiding

Hey everyone, sorry I have been missing from this board for a week or so. I feel that a lot of you have become great friends as we have been trecking through the .tv world.

As many of you know I am at the Video On The Net show launching the private beta version of Qoof.

We are launching our first product called Usermercials. User Generated commercials. Usermecials allows you to upload a video of a product you own and attach it to an affiliate code. For example, if you are an affiliate with Amazon.com then you can create a video of a book you love, link it to your amazon.com affiliate code and bang, you have a usermercial. The usermercials will appear on Qoof.com and you can generate code that will allow you to post it on your blogs, websites, Social Networking sites etc...

Anyway, things have been a bot crazy for me, you can see what happened to me when I was trying to get to San Jose, CA and almost landed in Costa Rica. You can see that at www.qoof.blogs.com

As far as beta, have a quick look at www.beta.qoof.com, but please do not pass the link around as we are still tying up a few bugs.

PS: At a session on making money with Video I asked a question to the panel if they thing Brands will have their own online video channel much like they have their own websites now like Budweiser did with Bud.tv. Matt Sanchez, founder and CEO of VideoEgg, who we are using, answered the question as well as someone from TiVo. The good news is that the question made me look good, but the bad news is that you can see them asking each other what is Bud.tv. So we still have our work cut out for us but the .tv world is on it's way!

Thanks guys! Usermercials is the first of a few products. We have big plans for the .tv extension and to enable .tv owners to earn serious revenue. Just gonna take some time. The show so far has been amazing for us. We have made contact with a lot of big companies and the feedback has been extremely positive. I will keep you all posted.

I finally had some time to browse your site. Its really is a unique idea. You have implemented it very efficiently. It has a clean feel and is easy to understand for everyone. Great job. The intersting thing is, if you already own these products, why not endorse them and earn money. I wish you the best of success.

$weet concept... with viral potential. Perhaps you know of Love Marks? The social network of folks who tell other folks about the products they LUV! They/we do emails right now (I lurk... as usual). Video is the next logical step. I really like the term usermercial by the way. I think its the likely future of online advertising.

Edit: I clicked to check the link after posting and visited the LoveMarks site, which I have not done in awhile -being on the email list, and Yep... they got Video LoveMarks now!

I do have a branding question for you; Being such a .tv advocate, why not Qoof.tv? I can't seem to find any info on the registration who-is, but I have to assume it's your's as it is a very unusual name. To me Qoof.tv sounds allot more intriguing than the .com. "Usermercial" is also a great branding name, yet it .tv is a parked site; again no who-is info I can find. Have you tried to obtain Usermercial.tv?

I do own Qoof.tv as well as all the extensions for Usermercial/Usermercials. I am a big believer of the .tv extension, but getting our investors to that point will take a little more time.

In addition Qoof is trying to brand ourselves as a commerce platform more then an entertainment platform. As of now .com still fits better for commerce then .tv.

Since we just launched and still have bugs we are working on I haven't forwarded any of the other extensions to qoof.com yet as well as the 400 .tv's we own, but I will in the coming weeks.
