.tv Qoof is going to Silicon Valley - Wish us luck!

Hey all my .tv friends,

Just wanted to share a couple of updates with you about Qoof and how we are using .tv.

Qoof was chosen as one of 15 companies to go on the Israel Web Tour ( www.IsraelWebTour.com ). The tour is being launched by the Israel-California chamber of commerce and showcases the hottest web start-ups in Israel to the largest companies, VC’s, and private investors in Silicon Valley.

I feel very honored that Qoof was chosen as one of these companies.

Some of the companies we will be meeting with on this tour is:
Google
Facebook
Microsoft
Yahoo
Ask.com
And many others.

We will also be meeting with some amazing people including Michael Arrington from Techcrunch and Reid Hoffman, founder of LinkedIN as well as reps from all the largest VC’s on Sand Hill Road.

As part of this tour I will be giving a short presentation at Microsoft about our company and our products. One of the 10 slides will be dedicated to the .tv extension and my belief of the future of .tv and where the extension is going.

Starting a company is tough stuff and a long hall. When I first started on the .tv forum I had only 1 employee and only a sharp business plan with some start-up money from friends and family.

Today we have 16 people in the company and have signed deals with companies like DrugStore.com, Ice.com, Pronto, & the Dish Networks with many more relationships in the works. We have also raised more than 7 figures in funding as well.

We will be launching a Facebook Ap mid February using one of our .tv names that I will be excited to share with you when we do.

Our first site we are developing using our platform is www.bluetooth.tv. The site is live, but we are constantly working on it to perfect it.

I want to thank all of my .tv friends on this site. Over the last 18 months I have learned a lot, made some great business deals and even better friends. I try to push the extension wherever I go and I hope that I can inspire some of you to follow your dreams, follow your passions, and never give-up.

One of the most important things I have learned when building a company is be careful with who you hire and partner with. I have been very blessed to have found such amazing partners and employees. Each one is a real gem and that is what makes this engine work.

Out of 90 companies that applied to Join the Israel Web Tour, Qoof was 1 of 15 chosen. Out of the 15, Qoof was ranked #1 opportunity in the article above.

So much to talk about. As promised I did push the .tv extension and had a slide about it during my presentaton at Microsoft. The feedback on the extension has been very positive and a lot of the VC's and Potential investors loved what we were doing with the extension.

I met so many amazing people including the founders of LinkedIN, Meebo, Seesmic, AdBrite and top executives at Facebook, Google, Microsoft and Ask.com amongst others.

It was a sureal experience meeting so many great people. I will be flying back to the States in about 10 days for the Affiliate Summit in Las Vegas and for follow up meetings in Silicon Valley.

We are launching our first Facebook Ap on Sunday which I will tell you about as well as a couple of new .tv sites which I will announce when ready.
