Purple.com - What is up with this site?

A seemingly random website which contains a single link for FAQs. If you dont click it fast enough, the link goes away and you are left with a purple page. What is the use for this page? That is for you to find out. There is seemingly a squirrel somewhere on the page. Or is there? See, the mystery of Purple.com may never be known.

"I went to purple.com and i was confused. what the hell?"

Seriously what is the point of sitting on a beautiful domain, not monetizing it or anything and just putting purple on it.

So wierd.

He looks as simple-minded as he sounds.
It's his domain, though. I could offer a domain for $5mil if I wanted to. He mustn't need the money, though. This domain isn't even parked.

And my favorite... "domain owner and his boyfriend"... which attempts to insult the man because of his (perceived) sexual orientation.

I'm ashamed and embarrassed by these comments. It makes domainers look like greedy, immature, jealous little kids with anger management issues.

You guys need to find another way to vent your anger and frustration, instead of letting it loose on some innocent man that you don't even know. Maybe join a health-club or start an excercise program, and try working-out your stress in a more productive way.

It's hilarious because he just recently sold this website or perhaps leased i to the mattress company Purple, and I'm betting that his diligence paid off

Corey, it's not often one has the opportunity to be flashed back in time to see what you're past self thought and observe just how little you understood at the time.

Ten years ago it seemed like a dumb idea to me, but I can now appreciate why someone would sit on such a valuable domain and wait for the right offer. I think his patience was well worth it.
