Am transferring some names I own from other Registrars -> eNom.
Recieved an email from:[email protected]
which links me to a "Universal Registrar Transfers". (See ATT)

The following registrars are referenced in the agreement.
eNombre Corporation
eNom, Incorporated
Fushi Tarazu, Incorporated
Internet Internal Affairs Corporation
SicherRegister, Incorporated
Sipence, Inc.

It seems to be legit, but this is the first transfer of a name I that own into my eNom acct, and find it a little disconcerting to receive not be receiving this email directly from an enom email address. Anyone familiar w/ eNoms procedures confirm for me if this legit or not?

That does appear to be the standard domain transfer confirmation email used by enom and it's resellers. However, if you are unsure, look at the URL in the address bar, and check the properties of the page (right click) to see the domain. Then do a whois and/or reverse IP check to see who owns it.

Yes, that is the correct email address.

eNom serves as a wholesale company, so in order to not steal customers directly from resellers more genericly named email addresses, DNS servers, product names, etc. are used. That way resellers will be able to emphasize their company image, rather then eNom's.

Thankyou both for your thorough replies. I have made the transfer.

Adoptable. I am learning the Mac OS (my PC has been in repair), and haven't figured how to bring up properties as well as several other little functions that were commonplace w/ the Windows platform. Looks like I'm going to be duel platform for awhile, at least, until I get Apple down.

Thanks Divaq for making eNom a little clearer. :tu:
