It has never been clear why US presidential campaigns often buy so many of these domain names,
Did that help their election results?

 

Worth more than reg fee with all the free advertising. I am not up to date on US political law but was pretty sure you couldn't run again if voted out so would need to be a relative.

 

You can serve 2 terms as president - they don't necessarily have to be back to back....so he could potentially run again in 2024

 

Defensive registrations, otherwise they could be snapped by political opponents or... comedians.
