Preregisration???

Hi,
I was searching for .eu domains when I found a registrar that has the option to pre-register .eu domains. I have pre-regged the following:

business.eu
company.eu
computers.eu
email.eu
eu.eu
europe.eu
industry.eu
internet.eu
travel.eu
voip.eu

I was wondering what pre-registering a domain name does? Does it guarantee that I will acquire the name?

It doesn't guarantee that you will get the domain name, but what will happen is that when the .eu registration is open to public, your pre-register domain will be send for registration immediately, if the domain is avaliable, you will get it. If not, most registar will refund the fee, if they charged you for pre-registration.
