Hello All,

My firend Jarrod (PremiumHostedNet) says he was suspened for like a week now. He said he called somebodys site a turnkey script. I would like to know why ArmStrong added warning points a valueable member of are forum for saying there site was a turnkey script. It wasn't even against the rules on any kind. It may of been trashing but that is just a small thing why go ahead and suspend him?

He has also informed me that he has emailed you several times with no reply that is just inexcusable. If you suspend somebody you should explain why, what rules he broke, and how he may be able to rejoin the forum if he can show he is able to do it.

I would like to know the truth and get it rethinked!

Please.

Regards,

Also he has tryed to aplogize and thinks worlds of this forum. I am just wondering why havn't you replyed??

(PS. I have decided to make it a forum wide problem because I think this is inexcusable actions pretraded by the mod or admin armstrong... Just insain is all I can say...)

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

Interesting.....

I just want to here what any of the mods have to say about this before I defend Jarrod. This seems highly unprofessional on ArmStrong's side, and I really do doubt he would do such a thing.

'Till then, hats off, hands in, mouths closed.

I too can say Jarrod is a good guy who I've talked with and done business with many times, and I was very surprised to hear of his banning.I'm not sure what led to him being banned, but it seems to be blown out of proportion.Someone should definetly look into it,he's a good NP'er.

Im not speaking on behalf of the Namepros staff or armstrong, but from what I am aware, what I read in the post any way, was he was suspended for reaching the 20 point warning mark. Now I doubt that armstrong just gave him 20 points all at once. It had to be built up to. So in defense of armstrong and the staff, Im sure there is a lot of good reasons this happend. The staff here is very fair, and any desicion they make, I will stand behind. If I got a warning point for this, then so be it, because the staff saw fit to give it to me. You guys need to realize that its a privalage to be a part of a comunity like this, not a right, IMHO. If you break the rules, you get into trouble. Thats just my two cents anyway.

Correct. He built up 20 points over several months, and from 3 different NP moderators at that. His offenses were:

Duplicate Account
Spamming
Wrong Forum
Forum Etiquette
Sales Crashing

Please PM me which of my email addresses he sent to. I don't recall giving him my private email address, ever.

Finally, the best way to communicate with Staff is not via email, and certainly not by posting a public thread like this. Next time, try either PM'ing a mod (if you have a problem with one, then you can always PM another), or by posting within PM-to-Staff (link's in my sig).

Contact us properly, and we'll get this resolved.

Apollo is a very reliable, honest and friendly NPer. He is simply doing his job extremely well here to say the least. Indeed, he has been highly responsive whenever something has turned up on posts, just as Jeff and Ron are as well.

I've also known Jarrod since he registered here. He was banned by Jeff a while ago for not following the rules, but then got his account back by convincing them to give him a second chance. I would think that any other offences after this should be considered more severe, since he already got warnings, etc. Thus, in my opinion, the staff should ultimately decide when (if ever) he should be able to return after a sufficient amount of time has passed for him to realize his mistakes.

You get notfied via PM every instance. Also, if you have warning points, you should be able to see them somewhere to near the top right of the box surrounding every post you make.

Not to get into anymore trouble but ArmStrong isn't your job susposed to be to help NP'ers.. If this is your job then please when a fellow np'er pmes you I would like a answer asap.. You have been on most of the day and I pmed you last nite about this PremiumHostedNet.. I would like atleast a responce saying you are thinking about it or what not.. Still this is very unprofessional.. As well I have left a message in the contact namepros staff section..

Its been only a few hours since your PM, and I was busy with other things onsite. Still, thanks for your usual high level of patience as I go about processing multiple PM's and moderator actions.

Your friend has now been activated. Do send him my regards.

RJ's an extremely BUSY owner, and Staff™ is constantly on the move in order to keep up with the demands of the site, IMHO. Bannings and unbannings - if you've spent any time at all around Namepros - are not wanton acts of any one individual Staff™ member ... a LOT of research, follow-up, teamwork, and due care is put in to each and everything that we do (and particulary so with the dreaded bannings). Of course, this can take some time ... thank you for your patiences! :gl:

The "dated" ban (from earning those 20 Warning points) has now ended, and Premium should be activated ... going forward he is on a "one strike and you're out policy" and I have every confidence that he will adhere to this standard, IMHO.

Thanks for staying cool and calm, folks! :tu: B-)

As Jeff points out, we didn't unban PremiumHosted just because his friend asked us to. We looked at his case, and determined that there was an old warning that had should have expired by the time the last one was issued; not counting that expired warning, he now only has 13 warning points; naturally, we're not so generous as to make "20 warning points go away".

This situation makes him eligible for reactivation, and we did exactly that.

Since we're kind of on the topic..where do you see how many warning points you have? You did say somewhere on the top where your post is...does that mean the postbit or something else? :P

Anyways...If he did reach the 20 warning point limit, I'm not going to argue that he shouldn't have been banned, because every member is suppose to adhere to the rules. Since he didn't, consequences occur and were put in place.

Good call by the Mods and great support from the Staff™.
