Preferred cart script?

hi there,

forgive me if this post is in the wrong forum section or if it's been asked before but i'm still new to the site so i have to get used to it still..

anyways, i am planning to start a webstore and now i am wondering what free script you guys prefer and what the pros or cons are. i myself am thinking of using cubecart or osCommerce. any (other) sudjestions?

They have a great version of oscommerce with a bunch of preinstalled contributions at creloaded.com. I use it and love it. Cubecart is great also. You cant go worng with either of those it just depends on what features you need.

i was wondering if any of you guys have some more input for me, been a while since i posted this thread and maybe some of you got more experience in the meanwhile or some new members have experience with cart scripts..

Well OScommerce is free ( open source ) so I guess that hacks and mods are also free

A majority of addons for OsCommerce are free. It's a great solution, not very well written ihmo but quick to install and running... And you can tweak it very easy.
