Shopping cart question. Need advice.

Hello. i am setting up a shopping cart for my client's website. He wants to sell events tickets, that are going to take place in his own restaurant, and some merchandise. I was wondering which pre-made program (oscommerce, cubecart, etc) would work best for me to use, that can do both tangible and intangible items such as ticket sales (with some confirmation codes may be) and merchandise sales.
Thanks a lot in advance.

Have a look at Virtuemart eCommerce.

It is a shopping cart embedded in Joomla. (and free)

I have found it a lot easier to get your head around than osCommerce

I have asked on a couple of the shopping cart forums for you.

Will there be a seat numbering system or just get a ticket and turn up, and you will be seated when you arrive.

Edit:

Just googled "event ticket sales scripts" and came up with this on Hotscripts

Bound to be more out there.

o wow, thanks everybody, for the input. that proticket is nice!
I actually ended with buying one script from hotscripts. its just does not fully do what i need. I am actually surprised that there is not much of it around. almost every restaurant with live music is having time to time small events like new year party concert, and selling tickets to the events. there is not specified seating, just a concerts at the little places. All i am talking about is same simple shopping cart system just seller is emailing a unique confirmation code instead of shipping product/downloading file and then checking that code at the door.

another one is clickbank.com being a merchant on it, it emails both the buyer and a seller a unique 8 character order receipt, same with paypal's transaction id, that's the easiest i can think of, since only 2 persons (buyer and seller, excluding paypal and clickbank staff of course) know the unique code, then that code or paypal transaction id will serve as the ticket number? so simple i almost forgot

Paypal confirmation code works with little "" . This is is the problem! Paypal does not protect intangible item sales. It is easy for buyer to go to the concert and then come home and try to chargeback :)
