PR4 on Angelfire

so i checked my pr for one of my websites out of boredom and to my surprise it was pr4...

the site is old (at least 5+ years), but the really odd thing is that it is (freely) hosted on angelfire. ie, the url is angelfire.com/username... kinda confusing...

any thoughts?

Why wouldnt these get PR? If you check DMOZ theres also a ton of sites listed who are hosted at angelfire or geocities. Some are to accounts that no longer exist... I've tried making new matching accounts, but apparently the same "categories" for the directories were no longer available. You know how they do like angelfire.com/category/username... maybe im thinking geocities, but yeah...

I dont know if these would have any value though, because it'd be hard to monetize the traffic if there were any. I dont think those free servers allow ads, but I guess you could just link to your other sites and hope some of the traffic follows through and converts.

yeah... my site is in the "rant" category lol

the angelfire pagecounter has consistently been showing about 20 pageviews every day. i'm just going to continue linking to other sites and whatnot... monetize it into a few cents a month...
