PR Jumped to PR5 for no reason... no content

Hey there.

I own the domain www.myrugrat.com - whats up there at the moment is basically 3 images that rotate and a line that says the site is coming soon (I never got around to it in the end).

Anyway, Ive had this domain for about a year - when I got it the domain was PR3... as I done nothing with it the PR dropped to PR2 but lastnight I had a look and its now showing as PR5.

What im failing to understand is how and why... Ive done nothing with the domain (as you can see) and its obviously not been advertised anywhere so what would cause the jump?

i have the same experience, but this time the domain is parked at sedo it happen on feb update.

I had the same experience too. A Domain I d just upload the index page shot up to PR5 and a domain with a complete site with full content drop down to PR5 to PR1. Only difference is when you check with future PR tools, RP5 sites future PR is 0 and PR1 sites PR is 1 .

the same thing happened with my webhosting company, www.empathogen.net shot from pr0 -> pr4 within 1 month

Can't understand that Google nowdays is more generous in donating PRs to sites. My Friend's blog started in Jan 2006 and now has PR 5 without much backlinks and just some link exchanges with the friends circle. Guess what Google is upto? This way PR is fast loosing its importance. I think Traffic is more important than PR...so should we check Alexa's rank more than Google!?

Not Alexa - but yeah I think everyone would agree that traffic is more important than PR.

So what do you guys think I should do with the domain?
