Is it better to post your domain at auction sites than just keeping it with you?

Is there any possibility that auction sites may provide more value for your domain as they will surely know when the demand for a certain domain increases ?

it depends, if you need money, then go ahead and post it for sale.

However if you are not desperate to sell, then just park it and wait for someone to approach you for that domain.

Do not forget that auction houses have millions of names for sale and your name is going to be simply lost in amongst those piles of names for sale. So it really depends alot on you if the name sells.

Many things can be done to increase your odds. Post in blogs, buy featured listings or showcase the name, talk about the name with a link in forums such as Namepros.


Just don't list them for sale at auctions and think the work of selling your domain is over.

if you have a forum site or anything real, posting on that kind of sites may discourage your customer. But it is ok to post your adsense sites.
