Possible scam?

Hi,
I've recently listed a domain name for sale on Sedo and received an email (not through Sedo) offering me 5000USD for the domain. I'm a little suspicious of this for obvious reasons and asked them to make the offer through Sedo. I then received an email asking me to provide a professional evalution (appraisal) from an independent evaluation company, along with a trademark verification.
I am unsure what this means and whether this is normal practice. Also, does this sound like a scam?!
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Scam. They're just trying to get you to buy a (useless) appraisal.

Yes it is 100% a complete scam.

This guy want you to pay for domain appraisal and then he will never contact you again.
