Porn Typosquatter Fined Again by FTC

A so-called typosquatter who once served pornographic advertisements on domains such as Bobthebiulder.com and teltubbies.com has been fined again.

The guy claims to have made more than $1 million a year from typo revenue.

The guys name is John Zuccarini and he even has his own Wikipedia entry!

Yeah I thought the same thing too Steve.

I did find out that On December 10, 2003, John Zuccarini pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 2 1/2 years in prison on February 26, 2004. He was later released on November 4, 2005. Only served 21 months.

Seems now he only has to pay $164,000 and get a slap on the wrist.

Weird huh?

Yeah. Pretty strange. Some decent typo names he had, too bad he didn't target the porn to kids

I agree with you Steve. Shame he didn't get some good kid related cpa or lead or ppc offers. At worst they may have closed the domain down due to trademark reasons rather than the porn. And keep making good money.

From what I've read, this time around he didn't use his previous tactics of porn to kids... Thats the reason he ended up in jail before, as far as I am aware. Theres some statute that makes it illegal to knowingly direct children to pornographic material. He got jail time and maybe even listed as a sex offender for that one, not sure?? He damn well should have been though.

This time around he seems to have wised up a bit. Or at least enough to stay out of jail.

He did. He served his time as rudy posted, got released, then went back to
business.
