AC/DC at last won the cyber battle for their domain name after years of fans being directed to a pornographic website.
Gives new meaning to Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap huh?

I used to go to their concerts as a kid, but always thought AC/DC was kinda of a odd name for a hard rock band, guess it doesn't have the same slang meaning in Australia .

I have mixed feelings over this news. AC/DC is a generic term that should not be controlled by one entity. As long as the website wasn't being used to promote music, then the band should not have had a case.

But, since the website was being used for porn instead of the more obvious choice of electronics, I don't feel sorry for the previous owner.

Nevermind. After looking at the wayback machine, I see it was parked as far back as December, 2005, and displayed AC/DC the band related ads. Case closed.
